ExperienceI have two bachelor's degrees - one in Microbiology, and one in Biotechnology - and I am currently a graduate student at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, working towards a Ph.D. I'm also a scientist at the City of Hope, where I perform research towards a cure for cancer. I love science, and have extensive experience in biology, chemistry, and physics that I enjoy sharing with students. I have a knack for finding ways to explain complex concepts to students to help them gain better understanding. While teaching undergraduate classes, I've honed my problem-solving skills to help students overcome their learning obstacles. I'm qualified to tutor elementary and middle school math, reading, algebra, geometry, statistics, biology, chemistry, microbiology, physics, genetics, history, literature, college essay writing and editing, grammar and mechanics, sociology, and virology. I can tutor students in the following AP courses: English literature and composition, English language and composition, chemistry, biology, U.S. government and politics, world history, and Spanish language. I'm also well-versed in assisting students with test prep for both the GRE and MCAT.When I have free time, I usually spend it enjoying fine arts. I often frequent California's many art and natural history museums.
HobbiesI enjoy fine arts and can often be found spending my free time at a local art or natural history museum.
